We intend making available to the members the facility to retrieve their Time Cells from the Vault, which could be useful for people who have included digitised copies of important documents such as wills and certificates that may subsequently get lost or destroyed.

To this end, and to broaden the scope of this enterprise, the resin box that the members receive containing the DNA kit may used to store some small items alongside the Time Cell.

In a Horizon Project Statement within the vault to future generations, we will explicitly request that the cells be returned to the vault for later generations to use after being accessed for their own purposes.

Another important facet of the Horizon Project is the intention to provide a repository for the DNA from as many animal and plant species that we are able to acquire from different institutions across the world.
This is intended to act as a sort of permanent ark to safeguard their genetic material in case of extinction or catastrophes, and will act as a further incentive for future generations to seek out the Horizon Project Vault.
