As outlined on the home page, there are essentially three stages of storage dependant on the amount of members' Time Cells being held at the time.
At each stage the Cells are contained in a remote location which is self-maintaining and will remain secure and intact indefinitely for future generations.

Once the membership has reached 144,000, the largest of these vaults will have been secured, the plans drawn up, and the construction underway.

We are already pursuing a particular destination and a site that will suit our requirements.
These being, the ability to employ self-powering security systems, and remote enough to discourage unwanted human interference, yet positioned such that it is both accessible and discoverable by future generations, as it needs to be located in a logical place to seek out in the event of future catastrophes.
We are also investigating methods of indefinitely signalling this location too.

The final site will be revealed to our members as we get closer to the target number, to keep security a priority.

We are making available to the members the facility to retrieve their Time Cells at any time, which could be useful for people who have included digitised copies of important documents such as wills and certificates that may get lost or destroyed.

In a Horizon Project Statement within the vault to future generations, we explicitly request that the Cells be returned to the vault after being accessed for subsequent generations, making it in essence a DNA and digital library.

The Ark

Another important facet of the Horizon Project is the intention to provide a repository for the DNA from as many animal and plant species that we are able to acquire from different institutions across the world.
This is intended to act as a sort of permanent ark to safeguard their genetic material in case of extinction or catastrophes, and will act as a further incentive for future generations to seek out the Horizon Project vault.
